I believe this is Circa 1860's to 1870's there aren't any views I can find from Huntsville with a rail yard scene. Huntsville was a key railway in the Civil war as it was seized by General Ormsby Mitchell without firing a single shot and cut off supplies to the confederate army making Mitchell famous.

Would love to see that Phil. Huntsville is only 100 mi from where I was born. Most people don't know that some of the mountainous counties in N. AL refused to secede during the War of Northern Aggression.

Nice image-- most likely VERY LATE 1870s- 90s based on the format and photographic clues.

Could that be a TV antenna on the roof of that boxcar? Just an abstract thought. As most of you know, my mind doesn't see things the way a normal person does.

LOL Blunder no antenna it is Electric Pole ? I was wondering about that walk way bridge looks a little shakey to me It might be the one you had to walk when fired . Kerry needs to get on that bridge and build up structure :-)
