    So I was told that these are Garnet’s
    Can you tell me if that’s what it looks like to you they are still in the Rock But the rocks don’t look the same
    but you can tell they are a Gem stone

      These are definitely garnet. You can tell because they are encased in schist, which is a metamorphic rock. What you're seeing is the dodecahedral crystal shape. Beautiful specimens! Its really common to find rocks like these in the Adirondack Mtns in NY State (as well as other places).
