I haven't been able to identify or find any information on these bikes from any experts. PLEASE give me any advice you can! I think these bicycles are 50's era and the serial numbers seem to fit on the two red bikes to date them from '52. Also, I believe the red bikes are actually "Black Phantoms". The green bike has me thoroughly confused though. If you can provide me with any further info, it would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!
Very nice bicycles!
Your "Black Phantoms" look brown... Did you buy these as is or did you have them "restored." They are beautiful but not correct. If your goal is to just ride them and enjoy them I wouldn't worry about it but a Black Phantom would be black with red accents. Also, the fenders would be chrome. I have a men's posted here. Check it out...
The green bike looks to be the Columbia 5 Star Superb reproduction they did back in 1986. Do a Google images search using Columbia 5 Star and you'll see plenty of them... Very, very pretty bike!
What's the serial number on each of the Schwinns and where is it located on the bike? Here's a link with a ton of good info on dating your Schwinns... http://www.angelfire.com/rant/allday101/SchwinnCodes1.html
Thank you very much for your comments and advice...i have been able to go further with my research based on comments. The information has been very useful and appreciated. Thank you again!!!
Then it is a SOLVED mystery ?
Very nice love them all.
toolate2 is right, The green columbia was a reissue back in 86, I think it was a 30th anniversary or something. I bought three of them then. They were a great ride up and down the bike path in Ventura and Santa Barbara. I think they were a limited edition run.
