Arne Jacobson (Original) Egg chair with (original) foot stool
My husband acquired this chair from his father's estate some years ago.
He remembers it in his home while growing up in Victoria, B.C.
His family is from Holland and his parents always favored the (Danish style) furnishings.
The chair is now in need of being reupholstered (cloth). It has tags on the underneath of chair and footstool that I was able to look up to find the name of the chair along with the Arne Jacobson name.
I love the shape and lines of this chair and wanted to share a pic of its unique style.

I would be very careful about doing anything to the upholstery.

I agree with vetraio (about the upholstering). These chairs are more popular than ever, especially if they are original.

Wonder if the worn out upholstery makes much difference in its value?
I'll need to take better care of it....by keeping the cat of it.
There are two on auction here (in Denmark) at the moment, in leather, though - (= more expensive) - but they are both valued at USD 9000...

Ha ha, thanks shareurpassion. Guess I'll have to sell my cats now......just joking!
I've kept it under cover and stored in a spare room so the cats don't damage it anymore. I go in and look at it now and then. Lol
I would be in there taking a peek whenever I could too.
It is just so elegant, so beautiful.
That grey is just wonderful.
The foot stool is an added bonus.
It is equally elegant.
