Chair being stored in an elderly friend's garage that I promised to try to find something out about. According to her, it originated in Perth Amboy, NJ, after the Revolutionary War and belonged to one of her ancestors. Wondering whether anyone has some thoughts about this. Could that really be the case? The fabric appears to be extremely old. Not sure whether it is original. The chair needs to be restored. The original seat cushion is in a bag to keep the contents together.
