I've always loved this little pot with ladies in relief, but I have no idea of its origins, beyond that it came out of my Aunt Doris' dining room hutch, as she was packing up to move from Central Valley to Cornwall, in 1972. Too many marks on the bottom. Coppery glaze has a charming iridescence. Lavender colored ceramic. Very light weight. Have you ever seen anything like it?
The mark is a little uneven, but I think t was made by Shafer & Vater of Rudolstadt, Germany. They used an impressed mark such as yours, as well as a stamp. They were in business between 1896-1962.
I must say that yours may be an early piece, as it is well crafted and elegant looking. Some of their other items I looked at are quite tacky!
