I got this off Craigs List, paid $30 for it. I think it's the waterfall design and the drawer pull is C1920's. It's very small (low), so we are going to create a bottom on which it will rest which will raise it up to a level where I can sit at it and be able to put my knees under it.

It did not come with the mirror. I do have a wall mirror I can use even though it is not an art deco era one.

I would say post WWII and you paid about right for it in that condition.

Thanks so much for the info. I was thinking that it was from the 20s because I researched the drawer pulls and found them on a website that sells antique hardware and they claim the pulls were circa 1920s. It's so hard to know for sure just what the actual age of any piece is when there are absolutely NO markings on it to determine who the mfr was, etc. All I do know is, it's not mid century that's for sure. Hahahahaha. It's a nice piece and, yes, not worth more than what I paid for it, even redone.

I'm not surprised at all that the vanity has lasted. Back in the day, the construction was superb, materials used were strong and natural (not pressed board made by man) and were designed beautifully. I prefer antique furniture over modern day stuff any time. I wish I could find a round mirror like the ones I have seen on very similar vanities. The mirrors are always attached to a vanity and the prices are a lot higher. I will be on the lookout for the round mirror that I think would go with my vanity but if I don't locate one, I'll be satisfied with the rectangular mirror in a nice frame mounted on the wall.
