Hello, what I have here is a vintage typewriter. Im trying to find more info about the history of this item. So, far all I know is that these models of typewriters were built during 1930's and 40's and were fairly popular during their time. All the keys and parts are all in working condition, but the box needs some work. If anyone could tell me some more info, id really appreciate it. Thank you, in advance.
1940. After the war it became Smith-Corona. It came in black and gray also. Yours is the most attractive color I think.
Thanks. I was also trying to figure out whether the one I have is a original or if its a replica. Not sure how to confirm this.
I am unaware of a reproduction, reissue etc of this. Plus it looks vintage from the photo. Saw one like it that sold for $300 in similar condition.
Cool, thank you very much.
These are pretty collectable pieces. The cases aren't where the money is, having bought and sold many typewriters over the last 10 years I would say you would be looking at a value of where fortapache said. Like anything else, condition is everything.
