I got this piece from a friend for helping him out on a recent deal. This is a lithograph advertising the Old Reading Brewing Company during their marketing and brand transition to Reading Premium. The Old Reading Brewing Company is from Reading, PA and this litho is an illustration of the city of Reading from a local landmark called The Reading Pagoda. The Reading Pagoda is still there to this day and this city scape can still be seen.
The litho is very bright in color with the Reading Premium logo in the bottom right hand corner. I've seen a fair amount of these before but never one in such good condition like this one. The frame is made of wood and is usually just tacked to the litho. Although this piece has glass over the litho so it leads me to believe that either this was a brewery executive's litho or some bar owner down-the-line put glass in it.
It's a very beautiful piece and I am very happy to add it to my collection.
