Here is another little piece made by Mordan, it's a nice piece of carved wood with a simple square glass inkwell inset into it. The inkwell is topped of with a nicely shaped silver top by Sampson Mordan hallmarked for London 1914.
When I got it the wood hadn't seen any polish or wax since about the time it was made, but a quick rub with beeswax brought out a lovely patina.
Total width of the base is about 13cm and it stands about 9cm high.
