    When I saw this you could have easily have passed it by...it wasn't a great photo...but! they are the kinda photos I love!...

    It was the shape of the " buttress like protrusions" at the foot of the vase and the ribbing that that I found interesting...then the slight sheen of the opalescent finish that made me think it might be something special...and I wasn't disappointed when it arrived...it's beautiful!..it descends from a lovely baby blue to a soft lighter blue and has a satin silky look to it..I love it!

    The silver collar on the rim dates to it 1898 and it stands a graceful .... 7.1/2 or 19.5cm tall.

      Lee if you were flicking through...as we do..;-)...it would not have grabbed you..well most people anyway...it was a dark, in the distant type of photo...but! as I said those are my favourite types to stop at..:-)
