This is a match for one recently posted. This one has suffered the depredations of time by acquiring a series of cracks where the foot joins the body but is still in one piece! The wonders of camera angles is able to hide the worst, and it displays well. Familiar?
It was described as Loetz and I thought it is Kralik, but have been put right. I hope I never stop learning (but maybe the mistakes get less frequent).
It is 18.5cm long by 12.5cm high.

Any other comments would be most appreciated, especially from the Loetz collectors and aficionados.

Wow, Ian - I agree, Loetz. And in an unusual decor for a shell - I could only find one similar online, in a cornucopia style vase. (They called it Mimosa, but I am not sure I agree with that at all...) It shows beautifully, so who cares about the cracks? :)

Lovely Ian, I think this is the prettiest shell I've seen.

I have changed the title from Kralik to Loetz in light of the above comments. Groucho Marx said, "These are my opinions: if you don't like them, I have others."

      RE-POST IT UNDER LOETZ.

The Marx comment was a joke about my learning stage re glass - in case anyone wondered - more of a reflection of my dependence on the knowledge of others than my own in so many matters. I just say that as, in re-reading, my meaning is not clear.

I would be delighted to learn more about this, which I thought was Kralik.

I love Loetz shell vases! My Mom got me one in Chine for my birthday.

I saw one of these(could be the same one judging from what you've said about it), so gorgeous...actually, it was the nicest in the antique centre I saw one in(if you can call it an antique centre...meeow!).

Thanks, Al. It "lives" in the USA now.
