Found this fun little spoon while I was out looking for vintage jewelry. I don't usually pick these up and purchase but this one caught my eye. It measures just over 4" long and the finish has more of a gold wash to it. I think it could be silver but there is no mark stating .925. If anyone has seen one of these or could tell me what these small spoons were used for in the day I would really appreciate it.
We have people here who could help ID the marks. The presentation wasn't "eye-grabbing" but hope they find it. Welcome to CW.
laniebogs, I do not recognize any of these hallmarks. I looked through my resources and they do not match up right. Although the markings resemble english, irish, and scottish marks.
I would guess this is a plated piece. Sometimes the markings resemble those on a sterling piece. I think the "NS" stands for nickle silver.
Thank you for your input. I am glad I found CW!
