I'm an avid vintage costume jewelry collector. Love the hunt of finding the blingy pieces from the 40's and 50's.

@dav2n01 I love your WWI charm bracelet. What a find. I have never seen one like that.
@ dav2no1 I have never heard of or seen souvenir dishes, but that is what they look like. Maybe like souvenir spoons that people collect? You have given me a new avenue to look down to try and find m...
Thank you so much for the information. I had no idea what the brooch was. Funny, I also had found a costume necklace and clip earring set. It is not MOP, but it is this same type of design with an acr...
Beautiful find!
Thank you so much! We got it solved!
I did think about a calling card case but it is small, I am not sure if calling cards were that tiny. Thanks for your input Gillian!
Thank you both. I will keep searching.
Thank you for everyone's help. Got it solved!
TassieDevil you solved it! Thank you so much. I never would have guessed.
There are no markings on the piece. Those are just scratches on the inside.
Nice! Great buy!!
Thank you Efesgirl and kyratango!
Thank you both for your kind comments.
That is so cool. Thank you so much. I could not figure out what these were used for.
It has to be something like a membership society - but what? Kinda weird. Anyone have a guess as to how old this might be? I am thinking late 50's early 60's?
There are 2 layers to the brooch: the gold tone starburst with the enamel piece on top of that topped off with the center rhinestone. I don't think it is a coin. The letters are on the first gold ton...
It is a bale on the back - really it is a necklace hook that has been soldered onto the back. The letters look like they are Y (or X) E(or F) L, M,M,S (with a period) A, and maybe the number 10.
I just looked up Tussie Mussie (I didn't know what that was) and I think that is what it was used for. Thank you so much for the ID!
You know it could be but I have just never seen that before.
I looked at the link that you sent. So this pin was worn at the waist to look like a buckle. I would never have guessed! Thank you for the information!
Thank you for your input. I am glad I found CW!
