A nice large organic/botanical form Sarreguemines French Art Nouveau production ceramic piece from 1900 that could best be described as something that would tickle Georgia O'Keeffe's fancy. The interior of the vase is glazed robin blue, while the exterior is decorated distinctively by prominent purple and golden regions on a floral form. The vase, in my mind, is quite erotic in form with strong contrasting colors between soft feminine type floral forms reminiscent of an iris or orchid flower. For the time, I cannot see this vase being presented publicly in a traditional family atmosphere…it would have caused quite the social stir. Dimensions: 10.75" (H) x 6.25" (W).

I just find your collection gorgeous. I am so random with what I collect, really what I find, so seeing such focus/passion is invigorating. Makes me want to pick a direction...but then I find something new and run off in a tangent. Someday...

AmberRose, I had the same problem for decades...hopping from collecting focus to focus at whim. I decided to "fix" myself by concentrating my collecting on a broad design style/era, which allows me to have the freedom to pick from various materials and items (e.g., art glass, ceramics, metalwork, furniture, etc.) with the only constraint being conformity to my selected design era.
