Here's two more paperweights for my growing collection courtesy of Salvation Army. They're a bit on the small side measuring only 2" tall. The one with the hypnotic red and yellow swirl still has it's original worn gold and red foil label. It reads "Made Genuine" Venetian Glass " Vetro Artistico Veneziano" Made in Murano Italy. How's that for an ID ! It's fun to look at, but has these odd little black flecks in it for some reason. The other has no label but I don't see why it isn't Murano as well, since they were together. It has kind of a murky multi-colored layered look with a few bubbles. No label and the bottom is polished to a satin finish. The other has a concave polished shiny bottom. So that makes five Murano paperweights that are now in my collection. I do have others but they're mystery ones or signed and unknown. -Mike-
Love them!! Good for you!! You have a great store to find these at!!
This looks like it is your one label here:

Thanks Rose :) Yep..that's the label exactly. Not sure of the other one though. It's a bit of an ugly duckling...lol
Is the other polished, or a bit rough??
It's polished but has a smooth satin finish . The yellow one with the label is a bit concaved but seems clearer.
I wish mind as a label, but I think the workmanship talk by itself.
I love them.

Thanks Alan :) I wouldn't be able to tell Murano and others without the labels and people here on CW helping me out with the unlabeled ones. Sometimes they're just beautiful no matter who made them.
Yeah, but glass talking, in your opinions do you think the huge one I just post could be not a Murano ??
Alan
Hmmm...well the controlled bubbles make me want to say yes along with the size. I don't think it's a Chinese one and Rick didn't say one way or the other. I'm sure someone can tell you eventually when you post the pictures of the bottom.
