This is the follow up to my post from yesterday. My carved wood bust of a Balinese dancer was badly in need of a make over due to sun or water damage to one side and her face. As you can see she now looks so much better. A liberal coat of "Old English" scratch remover seems to have done the trick. It's a colorless oil, so it will keep the wood moisturized and it's original red color. It blended the damage in quite nicely. Not perfect but much less noticeable. Do I detect a difference in her smile..... "I'm ready for my closeup Mr. DeMille" . -Mike-
Thanks Ken... She was priced at $7.99 and Christi let me have it for half price even thought it wasn't marked as such that day. $4.50 with tax !!
Good job Mike! She does seem to happier!
She's beautiful.
Thanks vetraio.... I really do think she looks happier when you compare the pics. It's kind of weird ! Probably just the way the lighter color highlighted her features before her make over. Made her look more grim...lol.
Mike, what a beautiful piece, a terrific find!!
Hi Tony and thanks :) Long time no see....lol
