Picked this up at GW's this morning. I had looked at it a couple of times and finally decided to buy it. At first I thought it was a tea caddy but the flat lid seemed kind of different. The is no mark on it but I recognized the pattern as being in the "Kutani" style with the orange red florals and gilded accents. It's 6" x 5" in diameter. It's a water jar or "Mizusashi" used in Japanese tea ceremonies. in beautiful condition but no marks. Fairly sure it's not that old maybe 40's or 50's. Has some fine crazing so it might be older too. -Mike-
