I believe that this adorable Stuffed Bear was my fathers as a child. He was born in 1949. I was hopeful that one could verify this for me & provide me with the basic info on this so I can learn more ;-)

Your bear looks so clean and no wear spots ? That makes me wonder on age ? The short fat limbs are consistant with 50's . I can not tell what he is made of if it is mohair or synthentic ? Can you tell . Is his body hard or soft when you squeeze him ?

Hello Manikin, sorry I didn't see this earlier. My nana (who I love to death), my dad's mum, was a certified nurse, control freak & Germaphobe!! My dad has some real horror stories...but its good for us who love these antiques as 90% of his toys are in pristine condition and she had stored them away in tissue and boxes ;-) Plus, he's firm rather than soft...
