For a few years now, I have been placed in charge of sorting and categorizing our family's vast estate after my nana passed, as she was the last one who possessed our family's property in South Boston, MA (it was sold by my father after her demise). My great grandparents, affluent, stout Catholics, came from Ireland and settled in Southie, c. 1875, give or take a decade.
There is SO MUCH stuff that I have been unable to truly identify, or that my father, the one, aside from my nana, who had lived there, could recognize. I'll quite likely be a regular on the Unsolved Thread for some time.
I'll be working on identifying and better understanding antique books, Catholic (...well, everything Catholic, from medals, to prayer cards, Catholic awards, literature, and a whole lot more Catholic), stuffed animals, furs, clothing, china, etc...and so more! (Read more)
