Found this at the Salvation Army this morning in their white section. It was grouped with a bunch of hobby store green ware. It's early Nelson McCoy from around 1920-30 era. These are usually never marked but sometimes have a style number. This has neither. There were a few online saying it was botanically " Kousa Dogwood" and that was my thought but I'm not sure of the exact name or number. Any McCoy experts out there? It's in very nice shape from the top down. The foot of the base is severely chip on one side. It looks more like thermal damage from being wet and then freezing and thawing which would cause it to flake like this. Can't imagine what else would cause such localized damage when the rest of the piece is so nice. Maybe it came from the factory that way as a second. Who knows. Still it's an awesome piece. -Mike-

Thanks nldionne :) I'm still not 100% sure of the name but an old ebay auction went so far as to call it "Kousa Dogwood". They look different from regular dogwood because the bracts (petals) are pointed instead of rounded which they are on this vase. Still no style number either. The ivory version seems to be less common than the green one. Only found two examples in the image galleries online. Not a very common piece either way.
