      T-Mon, be sure to put a towel over your keyboard. Drooling is bad on them. Looks like really old fittings. Possibly pre-1800's.

      This could be a wonderfully old trunk or a wonderfully new trunk made to look old. Many of this type are coming from asia -- still hand crafted and nice but not necessarily old. The handles on the sides are not right -- too small for size of trunk and placed on crooked with no signs of being used, and it seems as though there is a greenish paint around the corners which is a way of aging a piece. Also a trunk this bulky from the era it depicts should have signs of wear but it looks fairly intact. To give a better assessment your pictures need to be a lot clearer so we can zoom in and pick up the small clues that let us know more about your piece. So a lovely trunk no doubt -- principally a question of age and for that I reserve judgement. Looking forward to better pics and welcome to Collectors Weekly!!!

      How do I add more pictures? It defiantly has sighs of use and I thought too when he first. Roughy it home that it was nothing at least in antique speaking but it was 10 PM at night and hard for me to see .. As I looked it over more I really started to believe its the real deal but I know nothing about it .. I would love to share better pictures .. How do I add them ?

      The lid on this piece is extremely heavy let alone the whole trunk
