I am so very thrilled to have this wonderful vase, I just adore it…I bought it hoping and thinking it may be a Fritz Heckert and have had it confirmed as so!... (thank you! ;).... possibly be a Max Rade or 'Ludwig Sütterin' connection?…. I would love to hear your thoughts comments on this…thank you!
The enamelling on the milky opalescent transparent glass is exquisite and in great! condition, I love those sun flowers? on the neck and the intricate pattern on the bowl….and those handles juuust!...loooook!!! at those handles, a vase with attitude!...the enamelling on them...aren’t they wonderful?.... I love the chain design In the centre, finished at each end with an acanthus leaf ....and on all the four sides of each handle, a lovely detail of a small lip which you probably can’t see in the photos, so the gold and black trim you see in the center is inset…hope that makes sense...:-/
I am guessing the age is is late 19th century but! if anyone can correct or confirm my thoughts I would be grateful...thank you!
It stands approx….13cm x 13cm in diameter or 5 x 5 inches
I do hope you like as much as I do and thanks for looking!
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!
"Exquisite"!!!, this is the only word that I can said.
Like WOW! I heard someone say that INKY had made a FIND! Gob SMACKED!
Amazing! Look at the quality of the painting! this is a A1 museum piece.
Would look good at my place ..... :)
Another possibility could be Lobmeyer
or Meyr's Neffe, Adolf, für J. & L. Lobmeyr
Penny, I swear that I clk'd LUV before I knew it was you! Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
It definitely has an elegance to it! It's awesome when you find something that just leaves your jaw on the ground :)
And in NZ?!!
Stunning and timeless. Merits a room of its own!

very beautiful inky!! your a very lucky woman!!
Well done you! The harder you work the luckier you get. ;o) I love the way you expressed your enthusiasm for the vase too. You really gave me a view of how it makes you feel and that is such a wonderful ability. Thank you for that and for sharing it all here.
Thank you all for the wonderful comments and taking the time to stop, I am so pleased you like it as much as I do...and also all those who have hit the love button...very much appreciated....:-)
Wow - that is a beautifully executed piece of work. Lucky you!!
Getting some good mileage Penny!
Very lovely and beautiful inky!
gorgeous
It makes me want to have it in my hands, it seems smooth and silky....
Almost certainly Heckert. Does the surface of the glass have a matte quality? Does is fluoresce under UV light? While Heckert, I don't think the design was implemented by Ludwig Sütterin. His designs for the company were later in their production (early 1900s), while this piece probably dates from the 1890s during Max Rade's interaction with the company. Still the piece is wonderful and particularly unusual for the design rendering on the handles. Very pretty and desirable!
Hello cogito thank you for your comments I am pleased Max Rade may have designed this decor and confirming the age...I have no idea about the UV light as mine is not working....the glass to touch is more polished than matte...:-)
Penny, going for a record? Luv it!
Many thanks to all who have stopped to comment and also to those who have loved....:-)
Many thanks kerry10456 and Ted....:-)
Many thanks icollectglass for you wonderful comment....:-)
Ah, what a remarkable work of art! I love the shape, and most of all the opalescence. But they are beautifully balanced by gilding and stylish enameling or painting, all of which look to be in pristine condition. So beautiful - most! Bravo.
(Because of your influence, even I now know who Fritz Heckert is. Don't laugh - I know NOTHING about glass, though you are educating me in a gentle way. : ) )
Many thanks miKKo my lovely friend, I think you know more than you like to say...;-)...xoxo
