Norton Pottery Two Handle Urn /Pale Yellow Pebble Finish Glaze/ Circa 1940's-50's

Another little something from Salvation Army. This pale yellow 8 1/2" urn was sitting on a book case in the furniture section. I turned it over and written in permanent marker on the bisque bottom is that it was a gift from an aunt to a family member in 1988. So that's never coming off ! Luckily it didn't cover the makers stamp completely. It's marked "Norton USA". I checked online and there doesn't seem to be much about this Norton or maybe even Morton pottery company. "More Than McCoys" website suggests that it might have been a very short lived off shoot of McCoy. However, they are even at a loss for any information except that it dates from the 40's or so. A nice mystery piece for my art pottery collection.
