This is a delightful hand painted Poschinger hand painted vase from about 1900 .
The enamaling is very delicate I think the flower is possibly an orchid.
Almost a minature at 2 3/4 " high (small ) x 3 1/8 " diameter .
the iridescence is amazing the ground is a deep rich cobalt blue almost blck and has super oil slick colours especially purples
Small enough to fit in to my over stuffed display cabinet but bright enough not to get lost..
Beautiful!....:-)
Gorgeous
A real beauty, MARTY!!!

Thanks for the love guys ( and Gals ) it is a sweetie ...
Yes I agree it is a sweetie!!
Oh this is beautiful Marty. Someone at the sale today asked my advise on a small vase not too dissimilar..i wish I'd seen this post first i might have been able to give him some. He had it wrapped in the back of his car & only got it out to show off, refused to sell it even after i pleaded! Lol. They're both beautiful, i love the irridescence with painted flowers.
What a beautiful vase Ozmarty, my mouth dropped open when I first glimpsed this. STUNNING
Hi Fran must confess I'm too much like that guy!
A long time ago I had an antiques / old wares / decorative arts type shop and a friend made a sign and put it up in it ..." Look but do not buy! " ... :)
Zowie tis ...
Love the shape of the vase, I have a passion for enamelling, a beautiful piece.
It's still stunning
