These are interesting...not sure what they are. Could they be posey vases? I am totally guessing here but the colour is that peachy pink that falls inline with older pinks. Definitely pressed glass - not cut.
Searched for a Heisey symbol as for some reason, that maker came to mind.
2" opening, 2.5" at widest, 2.75" at base x 6.5" tall
Anyone with a clue on where to search for a possible ID, I'd be super grateful!
what beautiful vases!!!
Rosiegirl, I believe that these are hatpin holders. I purchased a cut glass one at antique mall...that was the description given.
How interesting mlady! I will research that and see :) Thanks for the lead!
Hummmm...they seem open too wide at the top for hat pin holders but they could be? Hat pins are 6" roughly so they'd just peek out of the top. I was thinking Victorian posy vase but???
Definitely not hat pin holders they are very lovely vases...and I would be surprised if they were Victorian but you never know....to me they look more 1920/30s and to have a pair is great!...your photo is fabulous of them...:-)
Thanks Inky! You are probably right...the pink isn't really Victorian era so much...
They are such a unique shape...really makes me wonder if they did have some sort of unusual use. Could be for a specific flower too.
