brightly coloured

This little dish's bright colours caught the eye standing out in a box of junk at the tip yesterday !! So for 50p had to be bought:-))
It looks to me that It could be a picture of a beach with the sea and the green the land in abstract ! (Maybe just me . Or can you see it too?) .
The glaze is very shiney gloss which has crazing in places so poss has a bit of age to it too.. 70s I would'v thought .. there is a mark on the bottom that im sure is the letter 'E' or could be 'm'?? The clay is terracotta red . I no nothing of its origins so does anyone recognise this beautifully coloured little 4.5" dish???
