We were cleaning out some boxes and found these. Are they collector's items? There were only 5000 of these made and the number on this one is 2721 and this is signed by the artist.

no, $25-35 is fair for this piece if its still in the box, if you had number 1, value might be closer to the $300 mark, but other then that, not really. i have seen these sell for $5 to as much as $45, but usually settle around around $20-30. these were originally sold at cabelas and maybe other, i want to say for around the same money, and some were even clearanced out to sell of the remainder after some time. i think i saw them on clearance for $10 on a store shelf, but that was a long time ago, and will not say for sure. i have owned a couple of them, and i want to say there was 5000 made in both silver and in gold, but would have to look to be sure. there a nice little piece to own as a collector, but by no means the holy grail of rapala collectors. btw piece number 1 is probably in the hands of an exec or was given to the company, and then given out to a rep as a prize at the annual meetings, they did that sort of thing all the time. so dont go looking for it, youll go crazy.
