Recently found at an estate sale, this unusual hand worked silver piece or art has me perplexed. This is a very old sterling silver hand worked Dragestil necklace. As you can see, the king is magnificent in his Dragestil design. His whole kingdom is attached with pairs of graduated in size bishops, gargoyles, princes, peasants, Fetish motif and then some! each face is so intricate and actually scary. When comparing each pair of figure heads is minutely slightly different to show that they were made by hand and not a mold. Pretty amazing find. I would appreciate any information on what it is. I did the right thing and took it to an antique dealer who knew less than I. When I was in Minneapolis, a dealer told me it was a piece by David Andersen from the Dragestil period. However, another antique dealer told me that it was a Henrik Moller. The necklace hangs approximately 35 inches around the neck and the weight is 4.5 ounces.

This is so fun and great! Yes, it looks Dragestil and Norweigan but I cant find the makersmark Br.S or is it Br.SL?! You'll have to investigate this more and let us know.

I love this! So unusual, (not sterling though as it is 830 silver but does not detract at all on such an amazing piece)

I have a few Henrik Moller pieces and a lot of the components, including the largest one, definitely look like his handiwork. The stamp is very puzzling though, as that’s not a mark I’ve ever seen on his pieces. I hope you solved the mystery?
