1900 Western Electric Candle stick Phone. I know the first one made had no Dial. But isn't it still and Antique? I'm a beginner Collector, I really don't know an Antique from Vintage. I know Cars is 25 years, I hear everything else is 100 years. It's not easy finding out if an Item is 100 years old unless marked. I know my images aren't very good but if asked I will try to take better images and more options. Here is one you can compare it to DECO.TEL Candlestick Telephone Moddel; 4101W when was it made?
Do these phones have any Value?
The Western Electric dial candlestick was manufactured around 1925. The Deco-Tel line was manufactured by American Telecommunications Company (ATC) during the early to mid 1970's. The Deco-Tel sell's around $50.00. The Western Electric dial candlestick without the bell box $135.00 to $175.00
Thamk you so much
I don't think the 100 year rule counts for much. It makes something officially an antique but that doesn't make something worth more. Personally I would call your black phone an antique (I don't follow the 100 year rule) and the other a collectible.
