Hi. My husband has a vintage 1983 Tony Hawk Chicken Skull skateboard that we are considering selling to start a kid's college fund, but despite tons of research online, can't pin down a value because we don't know near enough about skateboards! Can anyone tell me about this? I know the name and year, but that's about it. Looking on Ebay, similar boards are selling in such a wide range of prices that surely there's some difference that I haven't figured out!
that tony hawk board is amazing. don't sell it dude ! lol
...or you can have a Reserved price.....
Nice Shape!!
This is one of the more sought after skateboards, reason being that Tony Hawk is the most widely recognised skateboarder of all time.
Varying prices are due to damage/wear, colourway (some colour combinations are rarer) and being a complete board as yours is.Then also depending on the makers of each component on the board and the rarity of those components.
The best way of finding its value is by watching similar decks from that era (in a similar condition) and then actually selling it.
Collectors will know themselves what the board is worth and as long as you don't overprice it, it will probably surprise you how much it's worth.
It's a tony hawk mini XT boneite. I have one just like it. If it were full size it would be worth more cash.
You can see it in my profile pic, next to the blue Full Size XT hawk
Is this skateboard for sale? Did you find a good resource to determine price? My husband has a similar one from his childhood and is considering selling it, but doesn't know what to ask for it.
