I have no Idea what this Item is. I believe it once had a bowl that went with it. There is a mark on the bottom.

It will be English salt-glazed ware. The diamond shaped mark is really cool because it I'll give you all the details about its date of registration.
This is a good page to check:
http://www.thepotteries.org/mark/reg.htm
It has all the info.
very beautiful pitcher!!! I do believe it English!! I have seen that mark before.
it is English!! nice threading Kevin!!
Another concept is that Knot Mark below the registration mark.
Several Staffordshire potteries used it.
This page will give you the identity of yours I hope:

Thanks guys, sounds like I final showed something that's worth showing. I have looked at the sites you posted but I can't make out the marks on the pitcher. I will keep trying and let you know.
If it originally had a bowl too then it would've been a wash bowl and water jug , victorians used to have them in their bedroom on a wash stand as they didnt really have bathrooms only metal tubs on the floor behind a curtain to bath in , there are loads of different types and yours is one of the better ones.. I cant really make out the marks clearly but the one on the right in pic 4 looks ish like the 4D doulton mark ..
Foley China also did a rope mark like this one!! The registration marks were used between1843~1883
All of you make it sound like a good find, now if only I could read the marks to Verify it's name, age, maker and a possible value.
t has a chip on it, would it be a mistake to have it repaired??
I had some younger eyes look at the marks and it based on the chart it appears to be made January 25 1862. If this is correct what do I do with it? Is it a Antique Road Show piece?
It's not a Roadshow piece. That chip halves value .... Probably more than halves. It was an industrial piece and quite common.
Can you make out the letters in the knot?
I'm sorry I just can't see them.
Vetraio50, no reading those marks was even harder, I can see a W can't be sure about the others. I wonder what the mark looking like a cross means. Since not a Road Show piece I will have to keep looking. Thanks to all for the short lived excitement.

I think vetraio is right and on the link search for the salt glazed pitcher
the pattern is known as the cardina virtues because they are four like S E N W
Thanks Kiva and to everyone else.
I am a bit slow so here is what I think I know based on your input.
I have an Antique English Salt Glaze Light Blue Porcelain Pitcher, Raised ? Design. made January 25 1862 by W. B. & Son or WILLIAM BROWNFIELD (& SON(S). Not worth more than $109.00 Would this be correct?
I saw a similar one on Ebay here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Antique-English-Salt-Glaze-Light-Blue-Porcelain-Pitcher-Raised-Floral-Design/161376880427?_trksid=p4069.c100039.m2059&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140107094819%26meid%3D8939336867957018683%26pid%3D100039%26prg%3D20140107094819%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D161376880427
I am not an expert at all but I have several plates with the registry diamond, today I posted two of them. I think tat yours is much better that the one one ebay since it is full marked and has no chip. Complimets I like the pitcher, perhaps someday I will post some that were don here in Argentina.
