I saw this bowl from the car at the window of a shop that has recently shut, you know here there is crisis. I told Sergio to stop, and he was astonished because I do not like Asian colored porcellain. I was 10 years ago and we payed for it about 75 U$, a fortune for us, more at that time. It is about 30 cm diameter and 18 cm high. The painting is the best I have in a porcelain, that from the outside that depicts geishas at school if and that from the inside is outstanding, you can feel the velvet texture of peaches in your hands. The seal on the bottom of it is red and seems to be Emperor Ch'ien Lung Qianlong signature, Period: 1736-1795. The bronze mounting is not as old for sure, although not marked It could be french. I do not if it is a fake because I adore it and I do not know anything about asiatic antiquities. In fact, the seal is not hand painted and seems to be impressed. It coul had been a wedding present probably since the three fruits inside (a pomegranate, a peach and a Citron Buddha's Hand) are symbols for fertility, long life and much happines. Enjoy itl

A quality one, nice painting, nice glaze. Not Ch'ien Lung period for sure, early 20s instead. Hard to find similar one for $75 today.

Thanks a lot shrine because I am totally ignorant about oriental porcelain.

here is something strange going on , when it ought to be early republic probably you don,t have to ( in this case )a left symbol deviation DA , there is also agglutination ( bubbling of the closed frame) in the mark caused by the the uneven during the application of the mark , i think this made later

Thanks apostata a lot for your comment. So you think it is about 1940?
    5. apostata apostata, 3 years ago
u fortunately i think your best scenario in this i think it is late republic 1940-1949, i hope actually it is even possible , that is even a bit later
sorry IMO i have done my best really and been meticulois , but i disagree with shrine , actually i don,t trust the scrolling and i miss the stroking ( frotte) in the lawn , and the pointillism is missing, and the bottom glazing is too smooth in the lawn i think it is post bellum

      greetings waki

It is probably that you are wright, because the style of the peach best regards
    7. apostata apostata, 3 years ago
i looked too the peach as well actually i like it compared to the earlier releases, the main indicator is probably the scrolls

superficially the mark is confusing , because of the filled closed , but the mark is the easy way out because of the da symbol and three pronged hay fork above the cobble stone late 19 century corrosion gives it bourgondy color

sorry i have to get out i got a tikal versus dzibanche discussion it is stunning lidar comparances , i don,t know nothing about it , but it is sensational, groundbreaking

ty for the discussion best regards
