This wonderful Lalique ring is a mystery. It is made of silver and has a white glass setting in the model 'Toupie', originally made in the 1920s. I don't think the ring goes back that long, however, beside the typical Lalique mark on the inside, the ring is marked with the Diana's head for French silver, and another tiny mark, which seems like a maker's mark but is unfortunately illegible. This makes me suspect that the ring may be older than it seems. I know there is a modern version of this ring from the 90s but that is in gold tone and coloured glass, and as far as I know modern Lalique pieces do not hold the French silver mark. Any ideas? Thanks for looking.
