This is a newly made HMT watch. Made in India. The case design and the Miyata based movement are 1960s design. It is a 'Pilot'. model Normally the Pilot is a black dialed watch. This is 1 of 500 made in a special edition for the WUS Forum.
I wish I had a back of the case shot, to show you. The information I just gave you is stamped on the case back.
These HMT watches are tough as nails. They have to be to work well and for a long time in most of Indias climate.
I think its neat that the the watch looks vintage and yet was made last year. there are also great details on the watch. The textured dial and the teal blued steel hands.
HMT Pilots are great watches for the beginning vintage collector. Although not old ( altho there are older ones for sale on the bay) you can still buy new ones that are identical to the ones designed in the 1960s.
I have a few other Indian watches I can show you..not all HMTs.

Interesting. I'm not a watch collector, didn't even know they were made in India!
Hey racer4four..I think that in he present day, India may well be one of the largest producers of mechanical watches in the world. Maybe the Chinese as well. P&P
