I have an antique doll that has 3 faces - happy, crying, sleeping. She's got heavy (porcelain?) head, hands, and feet - no chips or missing pieces. Original outfit of cotton with lace. Body is stuffed. Any ideas where I could get this appraised? Will provide more information if needed.
Thank you SO much!
I had to take a phone break so back to ID this one . She is a contemporary porcelain doll ,fashioned after the original doll with three faces "Trudy" Many many companies made look a like dolls from her and most were made in Taiwan . Unless she is marked on back of her neck by company she could have been made by anyone . She is from the 70's to early 90's . They remade them more as novelty dolls not toys and are scary to most kids . She really has no real monetary value .
Looks like it has an RL78 or an RI78 on the back of her neck. What's that mean?
The 78 is likely year . I need to see it as the RL could be someone's initials. Many of these were also made in ceramic doll making class they gave you blank mold and you painted it and signed it .
