This is a Westinghouse Model 164848G which has several patent dates, the latest of which is 10-02-17. My just by looking at it guess would be 1920ish. The ealier models had brass cages and later ones had stainless steel cages. It does have the serial number so eventually I can figure it out.
Anyway this fan is in great unrestored condition. It works on all three speeds and oscillates. Also it is a fairly large fan over 15" tall and very heavy. Currently this is the best fan in my collection.
The cord is not original but is still a decent vintage cord so I think I will keep it as is. Also missing one piece on the fan cage.
Great fan...do you use any of your fans? I'll get mine down from the shelf soon and post it, before the dust bunnies that have now turned into huge rabbits that might just carry it away! lol
Thank you very much shareurpassion. Oddly I do not run them often as it is fairly cool at night here. That and those open cages may cause injuries to curious cats. But I do have one running now.
The original cords always have either been replaced or need to be replaced. Eagerly awaiting your fan post.
Beautiful!!!
I am a *FAN* of this post too......LOL
