found this one today and it strongly reminds of the Giorgio Ferro "Anse Volante" vases by AVEM, which has been made in the 1950s in red iridato glass
this one measured nearly 10 inches in height and is designed with a single 'pulled' handle and three feet, extracted from the main shaft while the vase is heated...
i never owned a "Anse Volante" before and can't say for sure if it is one....
any ideas?
What an exceptional and groovy piece of glass!
That's what i've thought... groovy it is...
I've looked at 20-30 pictures of anse volantes in different auctionhouses...
I'm not 100% sure this is one but the color and surface seems to be right...
I believe it is a Giorgio Ferro but want to be sure...
haven't found this particular shape while searching for volantes...
Haven't found volante fakes neither...
Any thoughts are welcome
This is definitely by Giorgio Ferro and an Anse Volante piece, I have owned about 3 or 4 of them. Haven't seen this particular design before but once you have one you recognize the color and irridescents. You have probably already sold it, but if by chance you haven't please consider me. Thanks
