This exquisite pitcher vase belonged to my fiancee's mother I believe. She is deceased and I am unable to consult her regarding the origination of this unique work of art. Please read my profile for more detailed information regarding the piece as I posted the information for this post accidentally as my profile and as I'm inexperienced with antiques I am also with my new Kindle. If anyone can help me find out who made and painted this pitcher vase and point me in the right direction of how I might also find out it's worth I'd be much obliged. Thanks so much!
it could be german pottery. its stunning!!!
Well that makes a lot of sense as Evansville, IN is a predominately German town and my fiancee's mother was German. Thanks for the input, I'm sure I will be posting so many more pictures of equally intriguing pieces very soon!
How could you tell it might be German?
because of the numbers on the bottom are a clue. Your very welcome :)
Hint. In the future, you should use the pic that catches the most attention 1st. In this case, the last pic would be best. I, and sure many, skipped or almost skipped over it as a pic of the bottom doesn't catch attention. Welcome to CW.
Sa wha! This could go on all nite.
You're nuts, nutsabotas6! Bet I have more stamina & perseverance though. Remember, I'm retired (from something!). Wish I could remember what? 4 times actually! Should have kept a diary so I would know what they were from! LOL!!
Nutsa, U are getting too serious for me. There is humour at the end of the tunnel. Lets just hope it's not sick humour!
