We have this nice little car in our family for over 50 years and we would like to know a little bit more about the toy by itself and the company who produced if.
Unfortunately the battery cover is now missing and I guess some information were probably there. The only inscription on the car is "made in Japan".
Length : 24 cm
Width : 10 cm
Hight : 16 cm
The car moves and there is some nice lights and movements in the pistons over the motor !
If someone have some historical information about this little car, we would be very happy know !
Regards,
Sylvain
Not yet, It might be eventually for sale but since we have no clues about the maker, the model, the exact year(s), etc., it could be hard to advertise.
However at the end it might be offer there.

Ebay is not only to sell or buy...
You can research in vintage japanese toys cars, completed auctions to see !
Thank you "nutsabotas6" & "kyratango", I did not thought as E-bay in that context but it make a lot of sens ! With the information provided from "Riply206" I will spend some time to see if similar cars were listed.
Many thanks !
It is really appreciated !

This looks a lot like yours so I would say it is made by same maker ? Nomura

Woaaah! Bravo Manikin! Very similar!
Well I can not be sure guys but looks very close :-) Is there a diamond anyplace on it with a TM in it ?
After a close look I was not able to find any diamond with a TM in it. However with the information that you provided, I was able to find on Ebay something very close to my actual car.

It is not the same model but it seems to be build on the same frame with few differences. On Ebay the motor is a 4 cylinder in line and mine is a V8 engine :-). The movements are also different (no pigs) but similar in their construction.
Other than that, the details are the same and I'm now sure that I have a Nomura toys ! I would like to say a big thank you to all of you for your time and kind advises, you are very knowledgeable about those toys !
Best regards,
Sylvain
Wow ! Many thanks "fifties50s" ! Now I even have the exact model "Farm Truck Mystery Piston Action".
Unfortunately it is not in pristine condition, compare to the one in previous links, but I guessed it still has some interest. I will try, very gently, to remove some dust on it without damaging it.
Again, a big thank you !
Sylvain
P.S. Is there any special ways to clean it without damaging the paint or patina on it ?
