This like so many of my collections started with two. Meaning that when I had only one, it never crossed my mind to collect them/it. But once I had a couple, every time I would spy one, I'd pick it up. A couple of these belonged to my dad and I think are from the 1940's & 1950's. Before I found this site, I thought I really had some kind of problem with all the different things I actually collect. These razors are for single & double edged blades.

I still use mine .You can still get blades at walmart.I bought about 4 pks of the blades.I get abot 6 shaves off a blade. Its much better than the plastic type. And they are expensive too and only get a couple shaves off each one.

Great idea. I guess I should put one or more to work since they're just laying around gathering dust anyway. Thanks for the tip.

thanks AR8Jason. There are two things collector/hoarders appreciate. More stuff and fellow collector/hoarders with the same problem. Thanks for the very true comment.

Oh yes Really the Large double edge blades you can get dont know for how long better stock up.The single blades I have not seen.Let me know how yo like the way it shaves.compared to new type? The shaver in middle will be your best one to use it has two adjustments for closeness.

Thanks for the additional tips. I'll be making my weekly pilgrimage to WalMart sometime this weekend. Now all I have to do is remember to pick up some blades. I'll LYK

My uncle, the same one I commented to you about on the Velvet can used thses double edge razors. He passed them on to me. I have used them a few times over the years. I will tell you this, they will give you one of the cleanest shaves you have seen.

Toyman actually gave me the idea to get some blades for a couple of these shortly after I posted them. And he and you were/are right. There's nothing like the "closeness" of the shaves I'm getting. I've actually skipped a sometimes eve shave, when going out after having shaved in the morning with one of these. It's funny as to how, newer, and more advanced is not always or necessarily the best route to take. I'm sold on these old razors for sure. Thanks for looking and thanks for the comment.
