Random ball about baseball sized looks to be some kind of silver like metal (tested as not silver) and a copper design around. Looks old per the small tack nails.
Any ideas of purpose/use?

Does it make a sound when dropped ??
What kind of sound would I be listening for?
Does it seem to be solid?
It feels solid
It hit the ground and sounded like possibly wood?

what is the weight?? sometimes they use to add plugs to change the weight in items for calibration.. is it magnetic?? it appears too artsy (steam punk) like!!
