You've already got the names correct, if that is what it is...just put the word vintage or antique in front of them into google. That must be one valuable piece you have there!!! Wow, it's so pretty!

So I read the article and did the 1 part salt 2 part water - it did float like a champ! I did the lick test and no taste just a little sensation on the tongue, and put rubbing alcohol on a inconspicuous place in the back and let sit a bit then rubbed my finger over it, no stick so I'm guessing it's real!?

Thank you, idcloisonne! I did look at yours and it's the closest image I could find that looked similar to mine. So if it is asian I take it the origin of the amber must be too, so possibly not Baltic as believed? Or would it have been imported? Thanks again!

I noticed while looking close and at an angle it shows small almost wave like texture inside, is this a common characteristic of amber?

Very nice - when I saw the first pic on the main page, I thought it was the beginning of opening a picture of a glass toe lol! Fantastic find!

Lol wksgibson that's too funny, yet I could see that! Thanks again idcloisonne, you've all been a tremendous help! Would this something worth getting a appraisal on? Thanks again. Sorry if I seem like a dingbat I just am clueless and super interested.
