I have collected these peanut jar over the years and now my wife use them in the kitchen. I believe Tom's Peanut Co was bought out by the giant snack food Co, Lance Inc.

I recently acquired a jar with "Eat Tom's Toasted Peanuts" printed on it. Can anyone tell me when this jar was made?
Tom, That Tom's jar was used during the 1930's
ttomtucker, thank you for the response. I was thinking the jar may have been from the 40's/early 50's so this is a pleasant surprise. Thanks again.
Our jar has a red handle on the lid, it says, Enjoy Tom's Toasted Peanuts Delicious. Does it hold any value and how old it is? I want to keep it, from our Mom's kitchen, but feel I should pay the estate a fair value.
The larger jars run about $75.00 and up and the smaller jars about $40.00. The Enjoy Tom's Toasted Peanuts was the second logo they used from the late 1940's through the 1950's.
Thanks!
We have the "Eat Tom's Toasted Peanuts 5 cents" like the one pictured. What can you tell me about it? My husband already had it when we met 40 years ago. My job was eliminated and we may be having a sale. Thank you for your thoughts.
jkpatten, "The Eat Tom's Toasted Peanuts" are the older jars. the very large jar sell for around $50.00 and smaller Jar about $25.00/35.00.

I just purchased a jar that has a clear lid with a red knob that says tom's. However, the bottom portion is just clear glass - shape is round. Were there original bottoms made like this, or is it not the correct one? Thanks for your help
I had my Grandmother's Eat Tom's Toasted Peanuts jar that recently was broken, any idea where I might get another one? I know it wont be my Grandmother's but I would like to replace it.
I see them offered on Ebay about once a week or so.
I need to know the age of the Tom's Toasted Peanuts glass jars . I see black lettering, red lettering, and blue and don't know the age period of each.
I have a Tom’s jar insert and have never seen another one. It is spring shaped (like an old bed spring) and would have been down inside a jar to separate the snacks on display. It is red and labeled Tom’s on the metal base. Please advise if anyone has this or has seen it before.
