i think its chinese - but chinese copied japanese styles and marks also changed over the years and visa versa- they read right top to bottom then left top to bottom so the first letter is yong - used by japanese and chinese third (next one at top) word below looks like an adapted qing - i dont have time now its late here in SA but if i get a gap will come back to this
try this site as well http://www.gotheborg.com/marks/20thcenturychina.shtml

Jim got it!
A simple trick to get the correct position of chinese script is to consider some look like persons, so they must have "legs" downside!
On your third pic, they are walking on their head... ;-)
kyratango, that is funny and helpfull
i will fix it later on and keep that in mind
thank you
324. Mark: Yong Mao Yuan Ji - Yong Mao Yuan (name) Company. Possibly a late Qing Porcelain Factory. This mark could still be late 20th C.
i think this is it - take a look and let me know ;-) and yes sorry it is upside down
kat

thanks Jim - sorry did not read all the posts - as i am trying to learn i have a passion for the oriental and am trying hard to find out as much as i can - also in SA so delay i guess in our time zones - take care
well you did a very good job kat 22 , you are right about the mark this is the equivalent of the source of external exuberance marking
actually there is only a time spread for the original a timespread of jiaqing 1796-1820
and they made transfer ware out of it , so it is not even an revival piece , it is very recently made
