Pic 1 : I bought this antique cheap brooch (silvered brass, C clasp) with enamel badly damaged, lacking eyes.
Pic 2 : tried to match colors with permanent markers showed.
Pic 3 : after U.V. hardening resin applied and ruby eyes glued.
Pic 4 : finished! The opal was red tinted with marker before gluing it on the flat mother of pearl torso (I know, it is not serious! But I love super glue, lol)
Any comment, even about the gluing part, are welcome :-D
Thank you Lisa! '<>'
Your suggestion is wise, I'll see what I can do.
The opal was just a try...
I have some (Mintabie I guess), they are not colorful, so it's stunning how they can be wonderfully enhanced with black or red marker applied on back!

Oooh... I just bought one like this and it's missing a bit of the enamel... I will post it soon.
On this one (a first try!) I didn't apply the perlized nail polish as first layer. The effect would be far better with it :-/
Remember you can wipe off with aceton if not satisfied BEFORE it is dry...
Great project well done. I have just found and posted a dragonfly on CW I wonder what you think of it. Jenni has come back to me with great information and I was wandering what you think as well. Neil
Thank you Neil! :-D
Going to see your dragonfly!
