No, have never seen this red or the mint green one you have! I have 2 black rotary phones. I love dialing them, they are not plugged in, but I have one on my desk and one on my bedside table : )

Here, red phones were very popular, also anothers colors too like ivory, orange, olive green and of course black and white.
Yes, people use them as vintage decoration or to receive calls.
