I wanted this small glass since I saw it, but it was very expesive, it has been in the same dealer shop for about 15 years or more, the first time he asked us about 100 u$, ater three years and a great devaluation 60 U$. He was convinced that it was Loetz. I thought that it was Kralik because of the three depressions in the sides likes those show in the classic page http://loetz-bohemianglass.com/kralik.htm. The last July during the world soccer championship the owner go to Brazil and his ex or not ex wife was attending the shop. She asked me 12 U$ and we payed her without any doubt. Today taking pictures of the small glasses we have I put it under the black light and it glows wonderfully (second picture) and some red pieces of glass glowed oranged (third picture). The iridescence and colors are much wonderful than I could catch in the pictures.
Great shape and colour...can see why you fell in love with it.....:-)
Thanks Inky and AGh. Do you have any idea about its origin?
very very beautiful!!
Thanks Sean yes it is beatiful the pictures are not so good
Your very welcome Kivatinitz!!
To my opinion this is neither Kralik nor Loetz, but it is a "Heckert Papilon". This decor has colored glass pieces molten in between silver-yellow papilon flecks, it is very similar to "Heckert Marmopal" where the ground is opal glas, but your vase has a clear ground.
Thanks a lot Kairomalte.
I second Kairomalte's attribution idea. Heckert came immediately to mind for me too. Beautiful piece, BTW.
Thanks cogito yes the glass is beatiful because is so changely
