These gorgeous vases are regularly advertised as Riihimaki "Pompadour" by Nanny Still, and they are certainly very close.

Not exactly right, as my last photo shows.

I am not sure and please correct me if I am wrong, but they are likely Japanese made.
Made well however, lovely moulding, casing and finish.

    Height 23cm (9in)

Regardless of who made them, they sure are nice Karen :) There's also a bonus to me being up early... the lunar eclipse !

You're welcome Karen :)...The eclipse is just starting here too. It's beginning to cover the top left side. Easily visible from our front porch here in Ohio. Clear skies but it's a bit chilly though, in the forties.

I missed it Mike! Came over all cloudy and all we could see was an orange hue.

Thanks Inky! I appreciate your support!

yep it is even worse , most of the saturnus bowls are refuted, all dark green lumitathi nukkumati is disputed Nanny have announced never want to give give permission for an nukkumatie T/340 because of the amounts of fakes and most of the Porrianen maljakko 1309 are fake

actually it is still all sold as genuine, actually i wrote to the auction houses to withdraw pieces from the auction , therwise i would write an article about this

at first they complied , but later on because the amount of fakes was that high, that the help desk of the auction houses stated the extent of your dispute is so high that we can no longer process it

you don,t have to believe me , i don,t care , but like at the saturnus vases at auction houses , it is like stealing candy from a kid
