This 3 1/4" bottle came in its original box labeled Wilhelm Hulse Juweiler, Berlin W.8 Leipzigerstr . 30 It has a beautiful red enamel top, and the tassel is still in beautiful condition. On the back is handwritten "Merry Christmas for Betsey From Aunt Isabella". In a different hand, annotation reveals Aunt Isabella's last name was Martin, she was the life long friend of Great Aunt Laura E. Almy, and the gift was from 1926. The enamel on the top first got my attention, but I love the story on the back as well!
Thanks for the loves, aghcollect and eye4beauty!
Love it, love the enameled lay downs.....
Whoa! That is Awesome!
Thanks perfumer and EZa!
I'm really not sure, eye4beauty. It goes with my enamel collection, but I don't have any other small bottles like this. It's just in my collection for now, I like the items with a story behind them.
Exactly, eye4! I just had to buy 2 more display boxes, I have stuff all over my desk that I have not put out yet! Speaking of which, if anyone knows where I can get 8 x 14 1/2 x 3/4 glass covered display boxes with BLACK batting in them, please let me know. All I can fine is white, and the jewelry shows so much better against the black.
